The Serious Incident Response Team is asking for additional information to be directed to SiRT
In light of the many comments online, the Serious Incident Response Team (SiRT) is asking members of the public who may have additional information related to the actions of Cst. Paul Lavoie, a police officer in Grand Falls, New Brunswick, to please reach out to SiRT Directly. This is in relation to a news release and charges laid on February 10 SiRT Charges Member of the Grand Falls Police Force with Multiple Criminal Offences | Serious Incident Response Team.
Anyone who may have additional information or concerns related to this officer, or any SiRT investigation is asked to contact SiRT by emailing sirt.tips@novascotia.ca or calling 1-855-450-2010.
SiRT is responsible for investigating all matters that involve death, serious injury, sexual assault and intimate partner violence or other matters of a public interest to be investigated that may have arisen from the actions of any police officer, on or off duty, in Nova Scotia or New Brunswick. Investigations are under the direction and control of an independent civilian director, who has the sole authority to determine if charges should be laid at the conclusion of an investigation.
