Summary
On April 7, 2026, Cst. Nathan Pitre of the Bathurst Police Force was charged with a number of offences related to a former intimate partner (see SiRT Report dated April 7, 2026). After charges were laid, SiRT received information from a member of the public regarding a related incident that had occurred that same day. SiRT investigated the new allegations. Since these allegations are connected to the initial charges, the file has been disclosed to the New Brunswick Prosecution Service to be dealt with in the prosecution. Any amendment of the initial charges will be at the discretion of the Crown Prosecutor.
Cst. Pitre is scheduled to appear on his initial charges at the Bathurst Provincial Court, 254 Patrick St., on June 29, 2026, at 9:30 am.
