Summary
The Affected Person (AP) contacted the SiRT on August 20, 2019 and alleged that during a search of their residence on August 7, 2018, conducted under the authority of a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act warrant, pol ice officers s eized a quantity of money much l arger than the amount noted in the police report f iled after the search. An investigation was commenced that da y and concluded on March 8, 2022. The following evidence was obtained, reviewed and considered in the preparation of this report: audio statement of one Civilian Witness, audio statement of the AP, audio and /or written statements of five Witness Officer s, notes and police reports of the four Subject Officers (SO), as well as occurrence reports. The SOs voluntarily provided their notes and reports to the investigators despite not being legally required to do so.
