Summary
On August 23, 2013 SiRT received information from a member of the public relating to Cst. Chris Mosher, 30, of the Halifax Regional Police. The information alleged a breach of his court imposed release conditions that occurred in Lunenburg. Cst. Mosher had been charged on February 6, 2013, with sexual assault and administering a noxious thing with intent to aggrieve, arising out of matters from November 2and 3rd, 2012. He is set to return to Provincial Court in Dartmouth on June 17, 2014for a preliminary inquiry. He was subject to a court order containing release conditions in the meantime. SiRT commenced an investigation in relation to the breach allegation on August 26, which was concluded on September 23, 2013. During the investigation 14civilian witnesses were interviewed, and a variety of other evidence was seized. On September 24, 2013, new charges were laid against Cst. Mosher.
