Summary
On May 17, 2025, the RCMP contacted SiRT regarding a sexual assault of an adult female alleged to have occurred on May 16, 2025. The female and the officer are known to each other. SiRT began an investigation into the matter that day. I have determined that there are reasonable and probable grounds to believe that an off-duty RCMP officer committed a criminal offence.
On July 22, 2025, Constable Manas Parray was charged with sexual assault contrary to s. 271 of the Criminal Code.
Constable Parray will appear before the Nova Scotia Provincial Court at 15 Kennedy Street, Suite 201, Port Hawkesbury, N.S. on August 19, 2025, at 9:30 a.m.
